Our wonderful Spire Reds ten year anniversary celebration in May

I would never have imagined how successful Spire Reds Netball Club would be in the ten years since the club was set up. We have over 150 members; thirteen squads which includes two adult squads; thirteen qualified coaches, seven qualified umpires and twenty volunteers behind the scenes. Our squads compete at local, county and regional levels. We have players in satellite, county and pathway academies. Over the last ten years we have won lots of medals and trophies and most importantly had lots of smiles, laughter and fun along the way.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary on 25th May with our parents and daughters netball match, a bucking bronco, face paints, a picture wall and a presentation of flowers to our amazing coaches, umpires, volunteers and helpers. It was a fabulous evening and a wonderful celebration of our club.

Our club is as ambitious as ever and we continue to aspire to grow and develop. Looking forward to this season:

• We want to increase the number of qualified umpires in the club. We are actively looking for more umpires and would love to hear from you if you are interested in umpiring.
• We have a new U12 performance squad playing in the Hampshire County league.
• We have U14 and U16 performance squads playing in the South West Regional leagues.
• Our adult squad has entered the Moonrakers league for a different competition this season.

We have lots to be excited about and are always looking to welcome new members to our club. I would like to give a warm welcome to our new committee members and volunteers; Evie, Leanne and Tarsha, thank you so much for stepping up and helping out.
